When we first stepped foot in this client’s home, we were taken away by the beautiful location and view of the property. We knew right away that these coastal details would be the focal point of our design, and with our signature coastal interior design style it was the perfect match.

Let’s step inside the beautiful doors of this San Diego interior design project to see how we tied the whole house together to create a fresh, functional, and unique space.

The Living Area

When you first walk into our client’s home, you’re not only greeted by the beautiful view but also by the beautiful design. We choose to go with primarily white furniture to create a clean, crisp space. We then added pops of nautical-inspired color throughout the living room decor, such as the beautiful vases and wall art. While this living area might not be the largest we’ve worked on, we opened up the space with a clean design.

The statement piece in this room is the crystal chandelier over the dining table. It reflects the light and makes the whole room sparkle (both literally and figuratively). A pop of glam here and there never hurt anyone.

The Kitchen

Continuing with the theme of a modern coastal design for this San Diego property, we stuck to the basics in the kitchen and did the basics well. We love the barstools, which are just one example of how custom-made furniture can elevate even a simple space. The mid-century modern shape softens the rest of the ultra-modern interior design.

With beautiful weather year-round, it’s no wonder so many San Diego interior design projects focus on bright, natural light and inviting spaces, and this project is just one example.

The Home Office

We had so much fun designing this office space because it contrasts the white, modern living space it’s attached to. Because of the small area we were working with, we wanted to do a different theme to really make it feel like its own space. The dark built-in cabinets are not only good for storage, but they offer a fresh perspective compared to the rest of the home. With a crisp grey lounger, a beautiful agate-inspired piece of art, and a mid-century g1`eometric rug, this home office space is both functional and fashionable.

The Bathrooms

When you think of interior design in San Diego, you might think of beautiful views and coastal designs before you think of bathrooms, but in this project, our client could have it all. We chose a soothing stone backsplash, a design element that extended past the walk-in shower and onto the floor. This style makes a space look bigger, and it’s a unique interior design trend. We also made the His and Her bathrooms match, and a large, luxurious tub separates the two in the middle.

The Outdoor Seating Area

With a space like this, we couldn’t limit our designs to just the interior. We extended the coastal designs to the outdoor seating area, perfect for entertaining day and night. The fire glass is the focal point, so we wanted to add some understated wicker furniture to modernize the space and not to distract from the expansive million-dollar views of Coronado Bay. We spiced up the neutral furniture with some fun, patterned pillows.
